“I am 20 years old and the eldest of three children in my family, originally from the municipality of Nueva Santa Catarina Ixtahuacán, Sololá. I am a speaker of K’iche’ and Spanish, and my goal is to also learn English, an important language for professional development. I am extremely grateful for the financial support I have received over the years to continue my university studies.

Throughout my career, I have gained knowledge that has been useful in the workplace. I have adapted various methodologies for communication with others and have successfully promoted the work of agroforestry. I am a student who is passionate about courses that emphasize the importance of natural resources and their sustainable use. Thanks to this, I am currently working at Asociación Vivamos Mejor in Sololá, a non-profit organization that seeks to provide better living conditions for the Guatemalan population. Obtaining this position has been possible thanks to the knowledge I have acquired at the university.

I am confident that with this experience, I will be able to propose new strategies to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
